Michael and team were great to work with for our cast iron replacement in our older home. They were clear and open as things arose throughout the job, scheduled around our renovation, and ensured everything we needed got done. We will be using their services again.

I called this plumber for a leaking toilet in my parents' apartment and was told there would be an $80 call-out fee for assessment. Based on my past experiences with other plumbers, I assumed this fee would be waived if I proceeded with the repair, although I acknowledge I did not explicitly confirm that beforehand.
The plumber arrived, quickly diagnosed it as a wax ring replacement, and quoted $399 for the repair. I was shocked by the price since as a handyman I have replaced at least 6-7 toilet waxes before for myself, all working well after several years (i.e. I am not stranger with the level of complexity of this work). Since I did not want to lose the $80 assessment fee and call another plumber, I agreed. The repair took less than an hour and involved only a wax ring replacement.
After the work was completed, I received an invoice for $399 plus the additional $80 call-out fee. I later asked if the assessment fee could be waived for my elderly parents given that I proceeded with the repair, but the request was declined.
In hindsight, I should have clarified the pricing structure beforehand. Still, I found the overall cost very high for such a basic repair and was disappointed that the assessment fee was not credited toward the work. I would not use them again because the pricing experience overshadowed the quality of work.

Our second time using The Irish Plumber. 1st was for a blocked sink drain. The most recent was for a leaking shut off valve, which is up in a basement ceiling for an out-side tap. They were right on time, Michael examined the situation, may have to cut the access bigger to repair, quoted me a price. Not only fixed the problem, but provide a better valve and ended up doing it through the existing access. No mess, better then new. Great people. Would recommend, very happy with service.

We are very pleased with the service we received from the Irish Plumber. We had a hot water tank suddenly stop working and after having multiple people from other companies diagnose (but not fix the issue), we started reaching out to others.
Michael quickly answered our phone call, followed up via email, and assessed the situation after asking for some pictures via email. Afterwards, he was able to communicate a price to us and clarify any outstanding details about the price with respect to the hot water tank we wanted to purchase. The price was slightly higher than what we had received from other companies, but notably, this was backed by guarantees on the labour and the hardware. This is a situation where you get what you pay for: Prompt, professional, and expert service.
When Dennis, our plumber arrived, he was excellent. After asking a few questions about the setup he promptly got to work allowing us to get on with our day. Not only did he install our new tank, he took the time to explain some of its features and some maintenance tips we could use based on the wear and tear of the previous unit. It was clear, he was extremely knowledgeable about what he was talking about and willing to answer any questions I had. Moreover, he also took the time to adjust some of the other piping in our room for a cleaner setup less prone to leaks. Afterwards, they disposed of the old tank and honestly left the room cleaner than it has ever been since moving into this new house. Simply put: Dennis was awesome!
Bottom line: If you're in a pinch/emergency or willing to upgrade some of the plumbing in your house in a less urgent situation, I highly recommend The Irish Plumber. Quick, clear response, competitive price, and exceptional service.

I would definately recommend The Irish Plumber. We had a crack in our bathroom sink. Because it's an undermount sink on granite countertop, it's a little more difficult. Thomas came out to give us an estimate and was back in a couple of days to complete the job. He is very knowledgable and did a great job. He was very pleasant and easy to work with. An overall great experience from the whole team. Thank you.
