Technician Mervin Finlay came on a Sunday morning and fixed bathtub faucet that was leaking - so appreciative of his efforts and kind manner. Customer service rep - Sara(h) - unsure of spelling - was great on the phone day before - getting back to me after initially dealing with AI Assistant Ashley. The automated piece is a big help in terms of Mr. Rooter getting back to you - whereas other companies might struggle with answering calls (understandable). Mervin was great with customer service and I appreciated Mr. Rooter being there in a time of need. Thanks so much!!

Warning for new customers: I had a plumbing issue at my place on Saturday. I called Mr. Rooter and their AI assistant answered. It stated they could send a technician out in a few hours and explicitly mentioned there are no "dispatch fees," leading me to believe I could proceed with the work only if I was happy with the quote. When the technician arrived, he informed me of a $225 "diagnostic fee" required to find the problem, which would be discounted from the total bill if I hired them. Facing a weekend plumbing emergency with a technician already at my doorstep, I felt cornered. I signed the form and allowed the tech inside. After looking around briefly, he provided a quote that was excessively high. I chose not to go ahead, paid the $225 diagnostic fee, and sent him away. I subsequently found quotes from other reputable plumbers in the city for half of what Mr. Rooter quoted.
I am giving 1 star because their policies are intentionally kept vague to make regular customers feel like they are getting a free quote. The AI mentions "no dispatch fees" but completely omits the "diagnostic fee." Customers are given the impression of a free estimate right up until the technician is standing at their door - a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I can forgive higher prices, but this lack of upfront transparency is outrageous and misleading. They may be a reputable company, but my first experience was a highly negative one, and this rating reflects that.

We had Plumber Mervin and Electrician Matt drop by our house today to fix some things they were both very knowledgeable in their trades and provided excellent service.5 stars to both! Our dog Gatsby may have also learned a thing or two!

This company is amazing!
Damian came by and he was absolutely fantastic! He fixed the bolt and seal quickly and made sure everything was working properly before he left. He also took the time to check over all my drains and the rest of the bathroom just to be safe, which I really appreciated. He was professional, thorough, and very very kind. I definitely recommend his services! ☺️

Just discovered our water boiler leaking and called for service which I received in an hour. I was given a quote, accepted it and within an hour out with the old and in with the new one. Great service from their technician Dion. Could not of asked for better service - we were very pleased. Thanks Mr. Rooter.
