Tom is always very efficient and upfront about what he can do for us.

We recently contacted him to replace the cartridge in a bathroom faucet handle that we simply could not remove. It took brute force and some plumber's know how to do it without breaking anything.

We also had a kitchen faucet that is supposed to swivel but had seized up and so was getting very stiff to turn. His advice before he came, was to find and buy replacement faucets for both rooms just in case he couldn't fix the existing ones. Turns out, he did have to replace the kitchen one but not the bathroom one.

If we hadn't been prepared with replacement faucets, he would have had to charge us for a return visit to install a new faucet. Since he fixed the bathroom faucet, I was able to return the newly purchased one for a full refund and was only charged for one visit. Other plumbers I have hired have not thought this far ahead.

He is pleasant and kind and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Oh, and he's a Scot, so what's not to like?

Tom and Jamie efficiently and thoroughly snaked our main drain, clearing out some root growth that had caused a backup. Afterward, Tom proudly showed us the now-pristine drain using his video scope. I’m very glad I found Tom’s number in the Beach Metro classifieds—he was honest, upfront, and easy to communicate with.

When our drain first backed up, I called Mr. Rooter. They scoped the drain, which temporarily cleared the backup, but they refused to snake it. Instead, they insisted the entire drain needed to be replaced and quoted me over $11,000. It seemed fishy, and when I relayed this experience to Tom, he was appalled.

Oh my gosh, I see such good reviews. Obviously that is good for them. I actually got their number from a friend but I will not pass it along.
My experience did not leave any fuzzies only prickles! I wanted a new faucet put in my kitchen so I called them. Tom showed up at my door and promptly told me he charged $255.00/hr AND if he left and had to come back it would be $255.00/hr. Of course he had to leave and come back. He had to step over the threshold of my door and leave so he had to return to finish the installation of a kitchen faucet. This was not a repair job. So yup........labour alone cost me $500.00. I paid and fumed. Happily I have found a plumber who put in a new toilet for me. His price?? $200.00. He was pleasant, tidy and efficient.

Excellent customer service by Tom and Jamie. They were extremely professional and took the time to explain what needed to be done. They didn’t overcharge as I had other quotes and Tom’s was the most reasonable. I highly recommend him, he’s thorough in his work and I have had no problems since! Definitely will get him for any plumbing needs I have !

I've hired Tom and his teams twice. First time they fixed my very (very) broken bathroom. I had drain issues, faucet issues and a tub issue. Fixed in an hour. Second time, my dishwasher conked out and they came and sorted the whole thing out. Also, reinstalled a faucet I had to replace. Tome recommended a good faucet and sent me to get it, saving me a few hundred bucks. I appreciated that.
I referred them to a friend on the street whose shower was leaking into his kitchen and they they were also super happy with the job done, which was completed in 2 days.

It's hard to find good and honest contractors. Tom Day is a good and honest contractor and I recommend him entirely.
