My boyfriend used this company in the past (during the 2 decades we've been apart) but recently again when we're back together for trying to assess a Toto toilet doesn't seem to fit the electric bidet (also Toto). They didn't spend a lot of time on the job and was unable to install it; furthermore my boyfriend also asked if they can check the tankless water heater and the plumber said they don't do it. They took out the toilet and reattached it, left, then forked a bill of $168.

That's utter BS, I do understand they need to come and have to charge by the hour but being unable to do the job period x2 and not spending even the hour does not excuse the upcharge.

I actually chewed said boyfriend angrily because he told me the charge AFTER paying the bill today. This company took advantage of said homeowner who doesn't know the value of a dollar since he's unemployed, never worked in his life, nor know a thing about trades. I'm upset that from reading other reviews that this company takes full advantage of customer who lack plumbing knowledge or understand how trades work.

A company like this would not fool someone like me; I would have ask for an estimate and ensure the plumber doesn't take the toilet apart if the job is clearly not doable to begin with. But because I was away at work when this happened, the homeowner was ripped off and was oblivious that he's been duped.

CAVEAT EMPTOR! No, I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone, even if this business is the last and only plumber in the planet. Personally I have a bathroom renovation project planned in the boyfriend's house this summer and by this horrid experience, undoubtedly a complete write-off as far as shortlisted candidates. 😡 Said boyfriend also doesn't use Google Maps so I am writing on his behalf because he wouldn't even know where to start with filing bad reviews or reporting to the BBB.

I have been using the services of Phil Ballam plumbing for a number of years and have always been very satisfied with their work. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. Their work is excellent. They are the first ones I call when there are plumbing issues with my house. Highly recommend

This is the second time I've used this company. I've had excellent service from them. The work is exceptional, fast, they arrive when they say they will, and they are very professional.
I HIGHLY advise you use this company if you need any plumbing work at all. I've spent a career as a home builder and these guys are the best ever...give em a try and you will not regret it!

Gord, Nate, Jared and the entire team go above and beyond each and every time. They have worked on a number of projects for us and we continue to be impressed by the expertise and incredible customer service. This time they came to update some plumbing and took care of things I hadn't expected. Small things that make a difference and that I had not thought of. This is the first and only call I make when I need service.

Bernie and Dan both saved me and my tenant last Friday afternoon.
We had a plumbing problem and Bernie ensured we were covered by having Dan come to the rescue.
Both are extremely kind and professional and my highest compliment goes to Phil Ballam and his staff.
