I had an excellent experience with this company from start to finish. They provided a clear, upfront estimate with no hidden fees or surprise upcharges. They were knowledgeable, took the time to explain the repair process, and completed the work within the schedule. The job involved installing a new sump pump and diverting the sump pump discharge water to my backyard lawn. Their craftsmanship was top-tier, and they treated my home with great respect, even covering the basement hardwood with cotton rolls to protect the floor. A truly reliable and professional business!

In October 2025, the builder of my new home contracted the services of Birnie plumbing to come to my home to do a flush and scope of my weeping tile. I had been having issues with water in my basement and wanted to have the weeping tile checked to make sure it was properly installed.
Birnies apparently pumped 300 gallons of water through my weeping tile system. And did a camera scope to make sure it was clear.
I have attached a copy from their report which they charged my builder nearly $5000 to do.
Because I was still having such an issue, I had my weeping tile excavated last week. It turns out I have no weeping tile around several areas of my home. It’s only installed a few feet up from my sump pump.
It’s just nonexistent down the north side of my home. And it stops at the front of my garage foundation wall There’s an additional piece that’s placed along the exterior perimeter that goes to the sump pump. Nothing is connected!
How in the heck did Birnies flush 300 gallons of water down my weeping tile? How can you say my weeping tile is in working order? I don’t even have any!
You changed Out a piece of weeping tile in the front underneath the window, where we had excavated, what the heck did you connect that to? There is no additional weeping tile down the side.
I am very concerned about the integrity of the work done. Because I am not their direct client, I can’t Say anything to them. But this is my home and they were here doing this flush and inspection at my request to my builder. I can’t help but wonder how does any Plumber with any experience NOT Notice that you’re missing weeping tile! When you replace a piece and you don’t connect it to anything else! When you are doing a scope and you can only go 4 feet one way and 10 feet the other way until there’s no weeping tile.
I would think an experienced reputable plumber would Notice this immediately. Just from my own experience, I would highly recommend not using this company.

We had Birnie Plumbing and Drains out for a kitchen sink that clogged. With small kids and presently no dishwasher - time was of the essence! They came the same day, and were so friendly to schedule with. We had Chad come out to fix the drain and he was the best! He assessed the situation, was clear about our options, and let us know other improvements he could do to the sink for us. He got the job done quickly, and cleanly! I couldn’t believe how easy he made it look after we had tried for hours to fix it 😂. It was competitively priced, professional work with a smile - and he even gave my kids stickers after! Very happy and will use Birnie again!

I recently had my sewer line replaced and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Alex, Tyler, and Rick were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They were professional, friendly, and took the time to answer all of my questions clearly, which really put me at ease throughout the process.
What stood out most was how respectful they were of my property. They kept everything clean and organized, and made sure the work area was tidy at the end of each day. It’s clear they take pride not only in their work, but also in how they treat their customers.
The whole job was handled efficiently and with great attention to detail. I highly recommend this team to anyone needing this kind of work done. Five stars all the way!

We've used Birnie Plumbing for years and have never been disappointed. The most recent visit was to replace a shut-off valve for a toilet. Communication from dispatch was thorough to let us know of a delay to the expected time. The plumbers who came out were, as everyone who works for Birnie's, efficient and extremely tidy. Thank you Jacob and Kyle.
