Incredible service. Appointment was booked fast and relatively soon, given the volume of calls from the big storm on Canada day. Jacob K was my technician and he came at the beginning of the service window. All the work done was very thorough and professional. He was very informative and gave me everything I needed to proceed to get the work done and covered by insurance. I would recommend Francis to anyone and everyone. Thank you!

I hired Francis Home Environment to replace my electric hot water tank and provided photos and details months in advance. The appointment was booked a month ahead.

On the morning of the job, the lead called to say the team wasn’t equipped to safely rig the tank. I fully agree that safety is priority. I’m very disappointed the cancellation happened last‑minute after weeks of waiting and arranging my day around the appointment.

I had asked in advance whether the job could be done safely given the setup and the call center assured me it was fine. The service agents were respectful, but I was left without a new tank and without any alternative solution.

They are responsive, but customers should insist on in‑person job scoping by the service department, not rely on the call center’s assessment.

I was happy when I saw 2 work vans arrive together, they showed up in full force! There was an electrician and 2 plumbers to replace my hot water tank and they had it all done in about 2 hours and they did a great job and they were also friendly and polite. Thank you for doing a great job.

Dan D. from Francis arrived early, worked hard and really made us feel comfortable. When he found some damage on the heat exchanger, he checked and our exchanger is still under warranty - good news. He also found some mould on our AC unit however had a solution - a UV filter for our plenum. We've been dealing with Francis for a long time, and technicians like Dan D - and the ease of booking service - is why we have stayed.

Firstly, I called to make an appointment and I was given one the same day and since I was already home that was great. Secondly, I was most impressed with the actual service and communication with the technician Eric who explained everything and my options for payment and the services available through Francis. I needed a part under my existing warranty and arrangements were made for that to be done. I received a phone call two days later to tell me that the part was in and another very timely appointment was scheduled.

I had the furnace serviced along with my gas Fireplace which I didn't know they did as in the past I has a different company do it. I will be getting my AC serviced soon so all in all three major things in my home can be looked after by one company. That's a huge plus for me.

The service was efficient, timely and the technician was clean, friendly and well mannered and I know I'm in good hands if and when I need them in an emergency.

I recently had a whole-home humidifier installed by Francis Home Environment and overall I’m satisfied with the experience.
The installation was handled by Chan, who was professional, punctual, and clearly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the setup, worked neatly, and made sure everything was functioning properly before leaving. The workmanship was clean and well done.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that during the sales discussion, I was told the humidifier would be integrated with my Nest thermostat. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible at installation time due to wiring limitations, and I had to go with the manual controller instead. That means I’ll need to adjust humidity levels manually based on outdoor temperature, which is a bit of a hassle during Ottawa winters.
That said, the installation quality itself was solid, and Chan did a great job. With clearer communication during the sales stage, this would have easily been a 5-star experience.

Moe came was extremely interested in solving the issue. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was in place for me to get my water and heat back up as soon as possible. I’ve been trying to have a gas leak fixed since November and working with this company has been a nightmare. They’ve come three different times now and still haven’t resolved the issue. My place is usually left a total mess from the visit, and tonight the technician and his manager on the phone felt that leaving a $30 mini heater was an appropriate solution for the weekend. It’s the middle of winter and I have 1,100 ft2 to heat. I’m beyond disappointed but also just really confused that two people hashed it out and were like, “for sure just give him that space heater and we’re good, bud.” Incredibly negligent work and just tone deaf.
