I had to parts to a leaking toilet. They didn't come the time they said and when finally they showed up didn't have parts in stock. I mean, common, it is a standard part and I had told them the make of the toilet prior to them coming!! They charged me twice for the 0.5 hrs of travel time. Seems like a money grab and they really didn't care about repeat business. Avoid them.

Horrible service for what is a simple fix to a toilet leaking. They came late afternoon even though they told me they would be there in the morning. They charged 0.5hrs for travel, and 0.5 hr for their 'assessment' and had to return the next day with the parts. What plumbing company doesn't have parts for a toilet supply valve!? They came back the next day and they charged again for travel?! They are within 3 km from my house?! Avoid if you can, they are only one thing, and providing expert service is not it.

We recently called Abe Cohen Plumbing for a noise from our heating boiler. We were offered the first call the next morning. Their serviceman showed up as promised and replaced a worn pump inside an hour. I was charged for the work and half an hour travel time. No surprises just a job well done and on time.

This was the first time that I used this plumber. I called to clean my main drain and asked how much it would cost me. I was told an hourly rate per hour plus 1/2 hour travel. The service was great but I was shocked at the bill! I was charged for 2 men; 1 was an apprentice. There was also surcharges for gas, the van, the large rotor, etc. I was even charged for the use of the shop vac!
I understand that I would have to pay for materials but expect to be told about any other surcharges that they consider standard.

I had booked an appointment with Abe Cohen Plumbing and was offered a really poor service. After booking the initial appointment with Abe Cohen Plumbing, I got a call back the day before the appointment to tell me that he would have to change the appointment until the day after (no problem, anything could happen; this is the reason I am being generous in offering 1/2 a star as a rating). After I had arranged to take the morning off for the re-scheduled appointment which was to be between 8:00 a.m and 8:30 a.m., no one ever showed up. I waited...I waited...then went to work in total disgust. Finally they bothered to call back and left a message around 11:30 a.m.. When I did pick up their untimely message, the man I spoke to simply said 'I can re-schedule you for another day, we didn't have a man available' and was quited rude about it. I asked him if he could not have at least called me to let me know....he then kept I talking over me saying he was simply calling me back to offer me another date...after saying no thanks to Abe Cohen's unreliable and bad customer service I hung up, never to call back that company again.
