We made the service request quite late, and Murray still came out to take care of it. He made sure the job was done properly and efficiently. I was already quite stressed with other things, and he made the whole process much easier and effortless by being so accommodating. I really appreciated his professionalism, patience, and willingness to help beyond regular hours.

EDIT TO ADD; I contacted the company twice again since they responded to my review via email from my invoice and through the website and still have received absolutely no form of response.

On August 15, I noticed water leaking from my living room ceiling in home I have just recently moved into. My usual go to for plumber’s is closed so I found Delta on August 16th through a quick Google search. I was drawn in by flat rate prices, no surprises, etc. I was quoted $850 plus tax (nearly $1000) to complete the job, it was noted as a laundry tub faucet replacement. I assumed there was a lot more to it than just a straightforward faucet replacement, but in the end it turns out that’s all it was. I emailed the company twice after the service to express my frustration about the cost and ask some questions but received absolutely no response. I left feeling very taken advantage of in an already stressful situation while trying to deal with it and two very small children attached to my hip. After talking to two other companies after who would’ve charged half of that. Not a great first time experience, I would never use them again or recommend. The only good thing about their work is a fast response time, however cost and customer service are both very very poor.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I should have read the reviews more closely.

I had a sewer backup due to tree roots in the pipe. Murry came and did a camera inspection. He called me to explain the situation and told me that hydro-jetting was my only option to clear the tree roots. He quoted me $2,200. I was hesitant but he repeated that this was my only option to clear the tree roots. Then he called and said the tree roots were still blocking the pipe and then quoted me $20k for a pipe replacement.

I called for a second opinion and to clear the remaining tree roots. I also had a city camera inspection done today. The second opinion told me that I was misled by Delta and hydro-jetting is not the only option for clearing tree roots. In fact, Delta's invoice clearly states it's not recommended for tree roots.

I just got off the phone with someone at their office and they told me that hydro-jetting gets done first before the camera. This was not what Murry told me on the phone when he was about to do the work. Again, the second opinion said this is misleading and a camera inspection should be done first to assess what tool to use.

It’s so wonderful to see women in science, please take this constructive criticism as an encouragement to grow.

We booked a birthday party one year ago. We understand that a group of 7/8 year olds is not an easy audience but the “scientist” was very low energy and was not very engaging.

You could tell she was visibly irritated by the kids and had little excitement when presenting. She lost the kid’s attention almost the entire show. When the kids got excited they were scolded for not sitting down.

Additionally she was not all that prepared. She did not have the sharpie markers she needed and did not communicate she would need boiling water until right before the experiment. Both of this is fine since we figured it out last minute but it would have been great to have a list of what she needed ahead of time.

She seamed a bit confused about what she needed to do next which delayed another couple minutes between activities. It was hard to get the kids to come back every 5 minutes to start a new science activity.

It was quite a bit of money and we’ve had other entertainers from the region for other parties so we felt it was valuable to share our experience with your team.

We did have a follow up from Glenn who advised it was her 3rd party of the day- this could explain the overall mood of the entertainer. He offered to send an at home “Mad Science” kit but we never received any such consolation.

I attended a birthday party recently where Mad Science was hired. The animator was not interested in what she was doing or being there. She was ignoring parents’ request on many occasions , she was rude to children and told a 6 year old “don’t touch me” when they tapped her leg to get her attention. Additionally, my toddler who was also at the birthday party put her hand on the table and she wacked her hand back. She then proceeded to yank the disposable PAPER 3D glasses from my nephew’s hands saying “those are mine “. She did not mention that those needed to be returned and there is a better way to speak with children. I felt bad for the host as this was supposed to be THE show for the party and it was a fail. Save your money and birthday party and hire other entertainment guys!

I booked Mad Science Ottawa (slime party) for my twins birthday party after reading many great reviews. I booked a French “scientist” to come make slime with my kids & their friends. I have to say I am pretty disappointed with the scientist we were appointed. She was very low energy, barely talked, didn’t seem like she could handle 8 kids, was not entertaining at all. My kids were super happy about the experience and when it was time for her to leave, they told her “thank you” many times but she responded “that was the point” and left.

The slime was made of 2 different ingredients and was very low quality, i had to throw them out after the scientist left. You couldn’t play with it it was either rock hard or too sticky.

After paying 300$ for this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it, or atleast I wouldn’t recommend booking with the French “scientist”. I am fairly disappointed.
