I hired Delta Plumbers for an urgent main line shut-off valve repair on a rental property. When calling on Sunday, July 19th at 10:00 AM, I was assured of an emergency dispatch within an 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM window. For the replacement of a water tank pressure relief valve and two waterline shut-off valves, I was given a steep bill of $1,525.50. I agreed to work with Delta Plumbers in the hope that they would complete my emergency repair on time as promised, and I immediately paid a $762.75 upfront deposit as requested. However, the plumber did not arrive for the initial assessment until 7:00 PM that evening, and the job was not completed until July 20th at 7:00 PM the following day—a 33-hour total water outage for my tenants. The physical plumbing work completed was satisfactory, but the delay forced me to issue a pro-rated rent credit to my tenants due to the loss of vital services. When I raised the scheduling issues, management did apply a $179 discount to offset the tenant abatement. However, they still charged full emergency rates for a job that took over 33 hours. Furthermore, reaching a manager directly for escalation was very difficult; I requested a call on July 21st and only received a response on July 31st. UPDATE (August 2026):
Following the publication of this review, Delta Plumbers reached out and issued an additional $89 "Customer Appreciation Credit". While I acknowledge the partial refund, it is disappointing that my repeated direct emails and phone calls to management went unaddressed for over a week, and action was only taken after a public review was posted. Prospective clients should be aware that emergency dispatch delays may only receive management attention once made public.
