Had a shower replacement project which ran into cost overruns and communication issues. It was a project for shower replacement (demo and new pan installation).

1. Initial quote was discussed and approved over the phone but after the payment of the deposit (50%), communication went awry. Apparently Cam (the owner) was in a place with minimal phone signal and for a week we communicated via delayed texts. Zero phone calls. This was challenging.

2. After demolition it was determined that the current pipe layout wasnt ideal for new installation and required further work and costs. New quote was for $750 more to cover time and materials. I approved it as such discovery is a part of medium to large projects. The final bill was then sent apprx. $500 more than what was discussed. The new figure wasnt approved by me when performing the work which was frustrating.

In this project there were 2 such price mismatches between what was originally quoted and then finally invoiced thus the sub-optimal rating

Cam within 24 hours of our call supported an urgent need for our home. He was eager and thorough to support this morning to ensure we had our home needs met. After the issue was resolved he even took the time to show photos of the situation that he fixed so it can be prevented in the future.

From the moment Arktik Plumbing walked through my door, I knew I was in exceptional hands. I recently had a complete Poly B repiping done, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation I had.

Jordan and Cam are truly outstanding technicians. They are incredibly skilled and efficient and also respectful, detail-oriented, and clearly take immense pride in their work. Every step of the process was handled with care and professionalism. They showed up on time, worked diligently, and left my home spotless each day—it honestly felt like I had family in the house rather than contractors.

What also was very special to me was the way Jordan connected with my son, who has special needs. His kindness, patience, and genuine warmth left a lasting impression that I won’t forget. It’s rare to come across someone who goes beyond the job in such a meaningful way.

PS: my house is 3600 ft.² with four bathrooms and a full laundry room along with the kitchen so there was lots of poly B to be removed.
