Thank-you Shorty’s for the incredible work! We had a new boiler and mini split-ductless air conditioning/heat pump system installed this spring. Mitch (boiler) and Thomas (mini-split) were great to deal with. The install crews (Jeremie/Nick for boiler, Shawn/Tyler for split, and Devin for electrical) were absolute professionals and worked tirelessly. The work was completed as scheduled. The air conditioning has been wonderful and we should have got it done years ago. We had debated the AC system but it has been totally worth it. It’s quiet and cools the house in minutes so we don’t use it as much as our old window units. Our house is so much more comfortable on these hot days! Thanks again.

We first tried out Shorty’s when we discovered we had dangerous levels of radon in our basement. Within a couple of days of calling them, our situation was assessed and a plan made for Mitigation that happened within a week! The job was done very efficiently and professionally and our radon levels dropped to almost nothing within a day!
A few weeks later, we booked them to replace a very old main shut off valve for our water supply. Each time they have come, they have been prompt and the work done professionally and quickly. We highly recommend Shorty’s for good work and peace of mind!

These folks can get you a toe by three o’clock. It wasn’t a toe I needed, however, but an air conditioner fix to keep my parents from broiling in their home during a heat wave. Every person I spoke with at Shorty’s was kind and helpful, and the main person who called me back was a master of expectation management: it might be a few weeks before they could book us in, or we could pay extra for an after hours appointment, or potentially one of their guys might have a wee bit of room at the end of the regular day to squeeze us in. Well, squeezed we were, and much to our relief the AC was quickly repaired by a very lovely and talented technician. Thanks for the wonderful same day service Shorty’s!

Review for Plumbing work Oct 2025. It was fixed by another member at Shorty's after I showed them the photos.
I will let the photos speak mainly for themselves, but who leaves a house with the washer drain hose unattached, water not turned back on, leaking drains and pipes suspended using scrap pipe? I really have no words for the plumbers putty drain photo.
And apparently the guy who drilled into our outdoor stucco has never heard of a level. Now we get to look at an uneven faucet for the life of the house. The 2nd guy fixed the grading of the outside faucet/pipe, which he said was also done wrong.
It was fixed, but no compensation offered for the extra time and hassle.

Our hot water tank sprung a leak and we called Shortys Thursday afternoon. An estimator came out within the hour and the next day at 1 pm 2 servicemen were already at our house installing a new hot water tank! James and Jason did a great job and less than 2 hours the installation was completed. We are very happy with their courteous efficient work and highly recommend Shortys for all your plumbing and heating needs. They also installed a new furnace several years ago- and Tyler regularly comes twice a year to clean and maintain our furnace and air conditioning needs! Shortys is the best! 10 stars!!!
