​I cannot recommend Rival Rooter enough. I called them at 2:00 PM on a Friday with a stressful sewer drain blockage, and their plumber, Garrett, was onsite within the hour.
​Garrett worked diligently for two hours to diagnose the issue. Instead of leading me on, he honestly determined that the blockage was actually located within the municipality’s drain line. He took the time to explain exactly who I needed to contact at the city to get it fixed.
​Thanks to his expert advice, I called the city and they had a crew working on the problem shortly after. To top it off, Rival Rooter even followed up with a phone call later to ensure everything was being taken care of.

Just had a Horrible experience with a severely Rude worker. I'm in a rental, wasn't informed this guy was coming by. When I questioned him why he was in my yard, he was very rude and obnoxious. I was concerned because a man was in my yard, and I had No idea. Yes the property manager is to blame if they called him, but his Professionalism was Disgusting. He then was mouthing off to me !
Bad look. Bad business practice.

This is the second time we've used Rival Rooter's services. Our issue wasn't an emergency but was important and they dispatched Garrett to our home within a day. The task required work on a steep bank, digging to beyond a meter deep, and cutting rock to improve pipe routing. Garrett quickly managed the task and also prepared a report and managed invoicing and accepting payment onsite. We were more than satisfied last time they were here. This time we are delighted with the outcome and the very reasonable pricing.

Update May 2025
I finally bit the bullet and had Rival come in and do a big job, replacing sewer lines from my house to the city, as well as redirecting a storm line that was temporarily hooked to my sewer line, and connecting it to the city storm line. Very pleased with the work. This was a major project that saw my yard ripped apart. I have multiple beds with mature plants and bushes that were impacted. Nile let me know in advance what plants would be disrupted, giving me a chance to dig them up. Where his team had to dig up additional beds, they made an effort to lift flowers from their roots and set aside. While they did not guarantee anything would survive, they did their best, and they put everything back as best as possible. The job took 6 days, and they worked to limit disruptions to access to the washroom. They left my yard clean and orderly. The pricing was fair. Again, highly recommend.

Update - Sept 2024
Just had Rival Rooter in again. This time for a kitchen faucet issue. Called at 8 am and they were here at 10! Quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. Once again, fast, well priced, and simply lovely people show up at your door. Highly, highly recommend!

Had a completely plugged toilet and tub. I called this morning and they had someone come out shortly after 9 am. Garret was polite, thorough, clean and did an excellent job. Highly recommend!
