We had our water heater replaced in mid-April 2026 and chose Jeff Gagné Plumbing after contacting several companies and reading Google reviews.
The pros:
- Quick service, no endless wait times
- High-quality Bradford-White water heater, 8-year warranty
- Punctuality: they were on time and respected the agreed-upon date, which isn't always the case!
- Quick and efficient installation by Steve (everything was done in 1 hour and 15 minutes)
The BIG cons:
- Payment by Interac e-Transfer only, which was never specified before signing the contract
In short, we received a quick quote and excellent service. So far, the unit is working perfectly and the water is super hot!
HOWEVER… learning after the work was done that it wasn't possible to pay by credit card was a real turn-off…
Let's be clear: credit cards are expensive for businesses, and they certainly have the right not to offer this payment method. However, they must inform their potential clients of this at the time of signing the contract, not after everything is completed (ref. OPC). For us, paying by credit card isn't just a way to accumulate points or extend payments (we're not short of money…), it's primarily additional protection in case of problems and it extends certain warranties.
My partner spoke to the owner to express his disappointment on this point. It was no use. We have other plumbing work coming up, and if it were just about service and technical expertise, we would definitely use Jeff Gagné Plumbing again. However, the payment method is making us hesitate.
P.S.: Jeff Gagné Plumbing, you won't find my name on your client list because it's my partner (Mr. Beaumont) who has the agreement with you. 😉

Excellent service! I hired this company to replace the water inlet on my washing machine. Steven did an impeccable job: quick, professional, and very courteous. I highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use their services again if needed!
