Our furnace quit on us during the resent cold snap , Called North Star as they where local, they made it out in good timing and had the issue fixed the same day even though they had to pick up replacement part quite a distance away, Technician was professional and courteous, well experienced, North Star will be my first call for further issues. Price was very reasonable also.

The technician who came to our apartment to repair a bathtub faucet was not very experienced but at least he was courteous. The owner however was rude. For a small job as such, the charges was unethical. When I tried to dispute the charges, his attitude turned hostile and aggressive. Very unsettling experience.

Our Anniversary dinner is tonight and what happened the second my hubby went to work this am . . . . The Toilet Clogged. I spent from 8 am until noon working on it myself with warm water and dish soap. plunger, coat hangar, and an auger (which I broke almost immediately). When I finally called North Star Mechanical to help me get it unclogged, I had already cleaned up an overflowing toilet at least 4 times trying to get it unclogged myself. They were at our place by 4:00 pm that afternoon, he took about 45 minutes to unclog it for me and out the door and on their way again -- All within 2 minutes of my husband walking in the front door for a shower and to get ready for dinner - Sky was my technician and he was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. I can't thank you guys enough for your help! And it was reasonably priced for Saturday work, no appointment ahead of time and it was worth every single penny too! Thank you! I know who to call again! North Star Mechanical Ltd!

The job done by North Star Mechanical Ltd was professional, however the charges were unethical. I was charged 3 hours of plumbing when in fact they were there only for 1 hour. When I questioned, I was told that I had agreed to the quote and that there were other costs involved such as paper work!! This was first time I had heard that the customer has to pay for paperwork at $98 per hour.
I will not use them again.
