Short story:
Roto Rooter improperly diagnosed, left plumbing unresolved and charged $580. My father-in-law who is not a plumber later properly assessed and cleared the drain in an hour. Embarassing (photo of the clog my father-in-law removed.
Long story:
We paid $580 for a professional repair that was never completed. We specifically called regarding a kitchen sink clog, but the technicians spent two hours snaking an unrelated line in the addition of our house, completely ignoring the area we identified as the problem.
Despite having industrial cameras and snakes, they were "perplexed" by a routine blockage and incorrectly diagnosed our internal blockage as an air clog. After two weeks of following their post care directions we were left worried we had a catastrophic plumbing failure.
Out of desperation, my father-in-law—who has no plumbing training and no professional tools came over. He correctly assessed the internal line and cleared the "unsolvable" clog in less than an hour.
Roto-Rooter refused to honor their "Satisfaction Guarantee" and offered only a insulting $75 credit for a $580 bill where the work was never actually performed. Save your money and support a reputable local plumber who actually knows how to diagnose a drain. I am currently pursuing a full refund through a credit card dispute.

Called for sump pump maintenance. I should have inquired more. The technician looked at it visually & made some comments about how it was installed. There was no hands on activity. I thought there would be a cleaning involved. I don’t want to clean it myself that’s why I call for
Maintenance. That “visual” 5 minute inspection costed me $294. I could have done that myself. Not very impressed, maybe I should have asked more questions on the phone.

I called Rooterman for my clogged kitchen sink. They sent Jerome out. He is very knowledgable and took the steps to explain to me why this happened and how to fix. He was clean and my kitchen sink is working as it should. I recommend this company to anyone.
