Refused a return despite being covered under Rona’s return policy. Said the store has their own policy. Emailing head office.

So i went there 20 min from my house to get some prestain that I seen was in stock at there store . I walked in and there was a young lady at cash and a young man that worked there . I was looking for the prestain and notice the employee walking back and forth watching me like I was going to shoplift instead of asking me if I needed help and I had to ask him and he looked on the shelf and said oh well there isn't any , didn't say I'll check the back or when they will get anymore .he was not any help .and when I was leaving I asked the cashier if she could break a bill for me and she asked buddy and said NO !! As I'm leaving sarcastically said have a nice day!! But when I walked in no goodmorning as I was the only customer . I'm 62 and never been treated like that in a store and definitely not going to give them my business made me feel like a criminal and disrespected

I’ve been to the RONA in Petawawa before, and it’s a convenient place when you need building supplies or hardware without going far. Parking is easy — plenty of space right out front — so grabbing lumber or heavier items is not a hassle. Inside, the aisles are organized in a straightforward way, and it’s simple to find paint, fasteners, and basic tools without wandering too much. Staff have been friendly when I’ve asked for help, and they seem to know their products, which is useful when you’re not sure about sizes or materials. Prices are in line with other home improvement stores, and you can catch good deals if you watch the flyers. Checkout has been smooth in my experience, especially on weekdays.

First, I looked online for the 2 items I needed. Concrete mix and a couple pieces of pressure treated wood. Their website didn't show if they were available, nor any prices. So, I went to the store, asked about them, the cashier looked them up said they were available. I wanted to see the items first so she called a person in the yard who showed them to me . There were no prices, nor did the person in the yard know the prices. I would like to mention the 2x2 pieces of wood I looked at were severely warped, but figured there would be 2 pieces in the pile that were straight. Went back in the store to place my order, only to find out that all the concrete mix were reserved. Why didn't the fellow in the yard know this? It was a complete waste of time going to Rona, and ended up getting these items at Home Depot in Pembroke without an issue! Sorry Rona, you've lost a customer, I won't waste my time there again.
